Mike started his business career with IBM after graduating from Princeton University with a BA in Business.
Since 1982, Mike has been a serial entrepreneur having started and managed 4 successful software companies in New Jersey.
In 1997 and 1999, Mike was a finalist for the New Jersey “Entrepreneur of the Year”
He has bought and sold a number of companies and founded NJ Broker Plus, LLC to assist New jersey business owners to sell their businesses and qualified buyers to purchase a profitable business.

Wendy graduated from FIT with a BS in Marketing. Most of her career has been spent in the Digital Marketing realm working for companies like Advance Digital (Star-Ledger / NJ.com) and Townsquare media (94.3 The Point / NJ 101.5).
Her main focus has always been to help small to medium-sized business owners meet their marketing objectives; whether that be a direct response, boost website traffic, or increase exposure to strengthen the brand.
Wendy has worked with a variety of businesses to help increase cash flow and streamline their A/R process. Today, she spends most of her time marketing business opportunities and assisting business owners with the sale of their businesses.
Edward has facilitated the purchase and sale of various businesses both domestically and internationally. Having also personally owned, operated, and sold his own business he also understands what it means to be both a buyer and a seller, and knows how to get transactions completed. He has a degree is Economics from Rutgers University and an MBA from University of Virginia.
After graduating Villanova University with a Mechanical Engineering Degree, John worked as an Aeronautical Engineer for a manufacturing concern in NY.
He always had his eye on his ultimate goal, a Wall Street career. John was fortunate that his dream came true and he worked for various Wall Street firms for about 30 years.
He left Wall Street and worked as a financial adviser in the insurance and automotive industries.
John was recruited by NJ Broker Plus to facilitate the buying and selling of turnkey establishments.
Lexi is a graduate of University of Rhode Island with a degree in Psychology. She has recently left an 11 year career in the Facility Management Industry. Her most recent position was the Director of Facility Services.
Dwayne started his career after graduating The Culinary Institute of America with an Associate Degree in Occupational Studies in 1979. He became corporate chef for a major hotel chain on the east coast. After being a chef for 10 years, he purchased a bagel & bakery business in Hoboken, NJ and successfully operated this business for eight years. After 9/11, he felt it was time to shift gears and therefore sold his business to become a sales consultant for an industry related company. With extensive first-hand experience as both a business owner and seller, Dwayne decided to join the NJ Broker Plus team where he facilitates the buying and selling of small to medium sized businesses.
Jonathan attended Drexel University for Civil Engineering with a concentration in Construction and Water Resource Management.
He served as a managing partner in a residential site work and home building company; followed by a project manager for a residential Civil Engineering firm. Simultaneously, he generated investment offers for the buyout of a public traded company focusing on Mining, Energy, and Air Pollution technology.
Currently, he is a project manager in the energy space focusing on Combined Heat and Power.
Jonathan’s expertise is in start-ups, construction, engineering, real estate and development. He draws on these experiences to guide buyers and sellers through transfer of business ownership.
Teddy studied Economics and Business at Cornell University. After graduating, he went directly to an investment bank focused on selling companies in the $10-100 million transaction price range. The companies spanned several industries, including building products, manufacturing, consumer retail, and healthcare services. Teddy was engaged in every stage of the deal process, preparing marketing materials, identifying potential buyers, conducting due diligence, and providing valuation analysis.
After his time in banking, Teddy wanted to venture on his own and buy a business. After sifting through thousands of businesses for sale, he decided on two pizzerias in Manhattan to purchase. Since their acquisition, he has increased profitability and runs them predominantly absentee.
Working with NJ Broker Plus, Teddy brings his professional expertise from his time in finance as well as his own personal experience of buying and owning a business to his clients, no matter how big or small.
After graduating Johnson Wells University with a Sales & Marketing Degree, Eddie worked in the medical distribution industry for 12 years where he had various different rolls and responsibilities.
He decided to create a medical related start up company that he managed for approximately 8 years.
Over the years, Eddie has developed a network of executives and entrepreneurs in his network. Most recently, Eddie was recruited by NJ Broker Plus to facilitate the buying and selling of turnkey establishments.
Sai Poplai has been educated from Delhi University , and Johnson and Wales University in Providence Rhode Island. His business career started in the Hospitality Service sector where he held a number of management positions. His next chapter included a position as a licensed residential broker for Weichert and Business Broker for NJ Broker Plus. Sai’s modus of operandi is quite simple: “Our Clients are a top priority and their ultimate satisfaction is our primary objective.”
Nancy graduated from Clemson University with a BS in Finance. She joined AT&T in their International Finance division as a competitive research analyst. From there she switched gears into entrepreneurial pursuits. Her first venture involved owning a medical billing franchise in Florida. From there she founded a boutique, in-home, personal training business which she was able to create through several international moves including New Zealand, Hong Kong, an New Jersey. After 15 years of managing the personal training business, she decided to purchase a local retail business where she was able to grow sales. As part of the NJ Broker Plus team, Nancy brings her financial background and business ownership experience which will be instrumental in assisting entrepreneurs with the sale or purchase of a business.
Hariom graduated from Montclair State University with a BS in Finance. His career started in banking at Chase Bank where he nurtured many valuable relationships with bankers, lenders, brokers, and business owners. After building his network in banking, his next venture was to gain corporate experience.
Hariom is a big picture individual that drives his work with the purpose of personal development so he decided to join a corporate with a culture of growth, Kumon North America Inc. With his understanding of business trends, real estate, and finance he uncovers growth opportunities for Kumon as a Strategy Analyst.
Anthony Burney has been in the real estate business since 2000 investing, buying,and selling properties.
After several years, he became a Mortgage Broker for Commercial and Business Lending and is also a Notary for the state of New Jersey.
He looks forward to helping business owners sell their businesses and entrepreneurs find their next investment. Anthony’s financial and real estate experience has groomed him to know how to get it done.
Ken recently sold his IT Firm after successfully running it for 34 years. As a 1981 Rutgers University graduate he spent his entire career in the computer industry working with small to medium-size businesses.
His motto in life has been that “Nothing is impossible, the impossible just takes a little longer”. After years of being told his business could not be sold he proved those naysayers wrong after meeting with Mike Janis.
Together they listed his company and it sold in less than 6 months. The secret to having a successful sale is to prepare all aspects of your company just like selling a house.
